Still Alive

My absence from the blogosphere not withstanding, I am in fact still alive.
I've just been attempting to reconstruct the prehistory of liquid crystal display technology for my second year research paper.
Since I don't have formal training in any of the following fields:
1. Electrical Engineering
2. Organic Chemistry
3. Material Science

It has been slow going. And frustratingly, I'm up to page 24 of my 20 page paper and I'm not even close to finished. I'm debating cutting the scope of my argument in half. It would certainly make my life more manageable, but I'm not sure. May ask a professor for advice later today.

Normally this is the part of the blog post where I would describe what else I've been doing during this break, but really it's just been this paper. And one other paper.

Oh and a trip to Florida the week of Christmas.

But otherwise, it's just been the paper. Because let's face it, folks. If I don't get it done by February, and it interferes with my efforts to study for my general exams, I will not be a happy camper.

More updates to come. I refuse to let my blog die without putting up at least some semblance of a fight.

Comments:
You get to write a paper on the history of LCD displays? You have the best program of study ever!

I am glad spending a week in FL with you was so important. Surely everyone that reads your blog would loooove to hear how you felt about the 80 degree Christmas which had more Jews than Christians in attendance?

80 degree Christmases make the baby Jesus cry...
